MSM: Go Away!

December 25th, 2007

...

I have a beef to settle with the MSM: It doesn’t take long to see a sort of intellectual plagiarism all across the board. Just watch the idiotic literati take a few scintillating talking-points and run with them like the Crusaders, I mean, politically murdering the non-believers in a tirade of self-righteousness.

Case in point: Here’s the news for the previous week in header-format.

Huckabee ad bookshelf confused as cross. Huckabee drops in the polls. Romney and Huckabee in statistical dead-heat in Iowa Lieberman endorses McCain. Tancredo drops out of presidential race and endorses Romney. Did George Romney really march with MLK?

Now go ahead and read all the Op/Ed pieces you want, (even so-called “objective reporting” is plagued by a blatant bias ) but make sure to keep a bottle of Dramamine on hand. My Christmas wish is for a media that would silently disappear, or at least stop shouting fire in a crowded theater and stop playing the conflagratory gossip/break-up game. They seem to love to start a fight and then loudly lament the harm it causes.

I realize that none of this is new. You only have to look at political cartoons from the turn of the previous century or even earlier. They’re loaded with bias. I guess you could say, they’ve never claimed to be anything but bias, but their proximity to “news” has been so frighteningly close, it can be hard to distinguish the two. Moral: don’t trust the media. What’s new?

Thats for sure. How can we trust people who get paid for having the most exciting news stories and the most volume of news? Their agenda of making money and gaining power outweighs their desire to correctly inform us. Sad but true.
